The external "gun rack" allows the Series 7 to be used as a free weight squat or lifting rack with safeties, in addition to the smith for fixed-plane exercises. That allows for a greater versatility than you'll find in other setups, and the flexibility to train in the safest way possible based on your conditions. Weight horns provide an all-in-one machine without the need for extra storage. 

This all-inclusive Package system also includes the FID71 bench, a lat pulldown attachment and pec deck with selector weight stack, meaning all you need to bring are the olympic plates.
